We’re taking a break from the normal bow and gear reviews to share some highlights from the Buck Hollow Pre-Spring Fling traditional archery shoot near Dickson, Tennessee. The event brought together traditional archers from across the region for a day spent on a challenging and well-designed 3D outdoor course, with recurves and longbows in hand and good company all around. From the moment we stepped onto the range, the energy was exactly what you’d expect from a traditional archery gathering — relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely fun.

What made the day truly special, though, wasn’t just the course — it was the people. As is so often the case in the traditional archery community, a few conversations at the target line quickly turned strangers into friends, and that’s something you just don’t find in every sport. If you’ve never attended a traditional archery shoot like the Buck Hollow Pre-Spring Fling, this video is your sign to find one near you and go. The community alone is worth every mile of the drive. Check out the full video on the TradBow Nation YouTube channel and see the highlights for yourself.

Whether you’re a seasoned trad shooter or just getting into recurves and longbows, events like this are what the sport is all about. Great people, great course, and memories worth sharing. Here’s the event’s Facebook Page.
