If you’ve been watching Trad Bow Nation on YouTube or visiting the website, you know what this channel is about: honest gear reviews, practical training advice, and a genuine love for traditional archery that doesn’t require you to spend a fortune or take yourself too seriously. For a while, that was enough. But for the last few months, it hasn’t been enough for me.

The video comment sections are full of questions I can’t answer properly in 280 characters. People asking about their specific setups, specific form problems, specific situations I’d genuinely like to help with — and there’s just no good place to do that on YouTube. Forums can be unwelcoming. Facebook groups are noisy and filled with advertisements. And nowhere I’ve found is really built around the kind of structured, thoughtful learning environment I think the traditional archery brotherhood deserves. So I built one. Check it out here here.

WHAT IS THE TRAD BOW NATION COMMUNITY?

Trad Bow Nation is now a dedicated community platform — a place where traditional archers can ask questions, share their progress, access structured learning content, and get direct coaching help.

It lives on Mighty Networks (not Facebook, not a Discord server — a dedicated community platform built for this kind of thing) and it’s organized into a few different levels depending on how deep you want to go.

THE FREE TIER — “THE RANGE”

The free tier costs nothing. Here’s what every member gets:

Campfire Community – a central “Campfire” discussion area where you can ask anything, share your learnings and progress, and connect with other trad archers.

The Budget Traditional Archer’s Complete Setup Guide – available to download in the Campfire Free Resources tab. It’s my step-by-step breakdown of how to build a complete, hunt-ready traditional setup for under $300: which bow to buy, which arrows, which accessories, and what to skip, to get you started on your traditional archery journey fast and without breaking the bank. More free resources will be added in the future as well!

The Trading Post – This idea came about after several conversations with members who were keen on helping people within our brotherhood who are looking for Trad equipment and gear to continue or progress their journey as traditional archers. I decided to open up the Trading Post as a way to provide an opportunity to pay it forward to the community and get people the equipment they need.

The Picture Wall – This is a fun space to share harvest pics, new gear, 3-D pics & more. This is the spot to share the fun and camaraderie that makes our traditional archery brotherhood so special!

No credit card. No trial period. Join and the guide is waiting for you inside.

THE PAID TIERS

For those who want more than community discussions, I’m also building out three paid coaching tiers.

• Apprentice – Getting Started Cohort – Includes monthly masterclasses that go deeper than anything on YouTube, dedicated learning spaces for new archers, new longbow shooters and 3D archers, and a monthly live group Q&A.

• Intermediate Archer – adds personal coaching to everything in Apprentice. Every month you get one gear consultation where I look at your specific setup and tell you what I’d do, and one form video analysis where you send me a clip of you shooting and I break down exactly what I see. This is where the real progress happens.

• Master Archer – gives you unlimited consultations and form analyses, priority response times, direct messaging access, the option to book a phone or video call, and an invitation to the annual in-person workshop. (coming soon)

WHY NOW?

I’ve been thinking about doing this for a long time. What finally pushed me to build it was a simple realization: the people who are getting the most out of TradBow Nation content aren’t the casual viewers — they’re the ones who are actively trying to improve, who are asking follow-up questions, who are taking what they see on YouTube and actually applying it. Those are the people I want to serve better. A community is how I can do that.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The honest answer: anyone who’s serious about traditional archery, regardless of experience level.

If you’re just getting your first traditional bow, the free tier and the Budget Setup Guide will answer many of your early questions and connect you with a community that’s genuinely welcoming to beginners.

If you have a traditional bow and are ready to learn the fundamentals the right way, the Apprentice cohort masterclasses are built specifically to help you do just that.

If you want someone to actually look at your form and your gear and tell you what’s working and what isn’t — that’s the Intermediate Archer tier, and it’s the part of this I’m most excited about.

Traditional archery is a sport where good coaching and community makes an enormous difference. Many people don’t have access to a knowledgeable coach or other archers nearby. This is my way of changing that.

COME JOIN US

The community is brand new. Your introduction post will be seen. Your questions will get answered. Early members in any community have a different experience than people who join after it’s been running for a year — and right now, we’re at the beginning.

Shoot straight,

Brent
